How to Setup Doorsound door alarm Sensor
Insert the batteries
Insert two AAA batteries as shown in the picture
Please make sure you are installing the batteries in the right direction, If installed correctly, you should hear a single beep (chime)
Put the magnet next to the sensor as indicated with the label “align the magnet here”
Separate them again to hear the chime. This will make sure the sensor is working as expected
If all is good, record the serial number of the device and close the back lid
If the back lid is left open the batteries may come loose. Please do not setup or operate the device while the batteries are loose.

Make sure that the batteries are not damaged, their insulations is not scrapped off or incorrectly placed in the battery holder.
Negative (flat) side of the battery should go to the spring side of the battery holder.

put doorsound in config mode
Boot up your laptop (preferred) or a mobile device like a tablet
As shown in the video on the right, bring the magnet & sensor close (door close) and then separate them (door open) for a fresh start.
It is important to keep the magnet and the sensor separated from this point to the end of the configuration
Press and hold the config button for 15 seconds. Once you released the button, you should hear 4 continuous beeps. This shows that Doorsound is now in WiFi config mode
Upon hearing the beeps, continue to the next steps within 30 seconds. If 30 seconds has passed please re-do this step.

Please observe if there is a problem with the button. You should hear a click when the button is pressed.
If the button looks normal, please put the sensor and the magnet closeby. Separate them again. Press& hold the button again for 15 seconds.
Though you can use a tablet or even a mobile phone it is strongly suggested to use a laptop
join the "Arka" network
The Doorsound will stay in WiFi config mode for 30 seconds
During that time, open the WiFi settings of your laptop (preferred) or your mobile device
Notice that a new network called “Arka” appeared
Click and join this network as shown in the video.
IMPORTANT: This action will open a new explorer window. Please return this page and click “I joined to the arka network” button before proceeding in the newly opened window.
Frequently reported problems
Recommendation#1 Once 4 continues beeps are heard, the Doorsound will stay in WiFi config mode for 30 seconds. You will need to open the WiFi settings within 30 seconds. If 30 seconds already passed, please press&hold the config button again for 15 seconds. Then open the WiFi networks and join to the network “arka”.

Recommendation#2 In case the WiFi list did not update automatically, please close the WiFi settings and re-open within 30 seconds
Recommendation#3 If you don’t see any WiFi network at all, please make sure that your laptop/tablet has WiFi enabled
Recommendation#4 Make sure the magnet and sensor does not come close during set up

Please press&hold the config button again for 15 seconds.
Recommendation#2 Please make sure your laptop/tablet does not have any uncommon firewall settings that prevents laptop/tablet to join Access Points. Or try using another laptop or tablet
Recommendation#3 Make sure the magnet and sensor does not come close during set up
Enter WiFi credentials
As shown in the video, when you join the network “Arka” a new browser window will open. If it does not open automatically, open a new browser window and put the address “192.168.4.1” and hit enter.
Click on the “Configure device” button”
Select your home WiFi from the list, enter your password, and hit the “save” button
If Doorsound can connect to the WiFi network, you will hear a two-second-long beep
Frequently reported problems
Recommendation#1 Make sure that Doorsound and the laptop are close your WiFi network
Recommendation#2 Please refresh the web-page or click “scan again”
Recommendation#3 If your WiFi router is set to be “undiscoverable” please consider changing that and try again
Recommendation#4 Make sure the magnet and sensor does not come close during set up
Recommendation#1 Please make sure that your Doorsound device is close to your WiFi router
Recommendation#2 Please make sure you enter the correct password for your home WiFi.

Download and install the "arka innovation" app
Please go to the IOS app store or Google Play store and download the app “arka innovation”. Alternatively you can scan the following QR codes
validate device serial
Find the serial number on the top face of the device and enter it on the mobile app
Hit the “validate” button
enter your custom settings
following the app instructions, you will program
- device name (need for notifications)
- time delay (how long after the door is open, the alarm should sound)
- alarm duration
- sound level
- text, IFTTT and speaker notifications
please remember that;
- you can set the time delay and alarm duration to any second you want
- once you complete the first alert, the system will ask if you want to setup another alert. You can skip it by selecting the “no! i am done” option
review and submit settings
after you enter your settings, the system will show you the summary of your settings.
please review them and make changes if needed.
once finalized, submit your settings and continue with the next step – “wifi setup“
put doorsound in setup mode
Doorsound will light a steady blue light when it is in setup mode.
If you don’t see the blue light, press and hold the setup button for 15 seconds and then release the button
you should see the blue light and then hit the “continue” button
Please make sure that the magnet is away from the sensor
connect to arka network
Go to your phone’s settings and then the Wifi settings.
Find and connect to the “arka” network
If you dont see the arka network; make sure that the blue light is still ON or try to toggle the WiFi switch
your Wifi network
IOS/Apple phone users
- after connecting to the “arka” network a new page will open
- hit “configure wifi” button
- you will see a list of WiFi networks around you
- select your home WiFi network and enter the password
- hit save button
- once the connection is established, go back to “Arka innovation” app
Android/Samsung phone users
- after connecting to the “arka” network go back to the “Arka Innovation” app
- you will see a list of WiFi networks around you
- select your home WiFi network and enter the password
- hit save button
verify the Wifi connection
Once you are back at the Arka Innovation mobile app please hit the “continue” button and the system will verify your connection
mount your device
Follow the instructions and mount your device on the door
